The fabric
Pointelle, not just ribbed.
Pointelle is a knit with tiny openings worked into it, laid out here in fine vertical stripes. It is the reason the fabric looks like something rather than plain cotton, and the reason it breathes better than a solid rib in a warm room.
The base is 95% organic cotton for softness and 5% spandex for recovery, so the neckline and leg openings keep their shape after the tenth wash rather than going slack.
Details
Bound round neckline
Finished with a soft binding that lies flat and does not rub at the shoulders or the back of the neck.
Poppers at the crotch
Three across the base for quick nappy changes, set into the binding so nothing presses into skin.
Cut to layer
Slim enough to sit under a jersey or romper without bunching, but long enough in the body to stay tucked in.

All measurements in centimetres, taken with the garment laid flat. Chest is a half-measurement — double it for the full way round. Because measuring methods differ, allow 1-2 cm either way. Babies vary — if your little one is between sizes, size up.

Built for the wash basket.
These are everyday clothes and they are going to be washed constantly. The organic cotton softens rather than pills, and the 5% spandex means the neckline and leg openings go back to shape instead of stretching out.
