Soft pointelle pants with a covered elastic waist that sits flat over a nappy, cut generously through the seat and tapered to the ankle.
The fabric
Pointelle, not just ribbed.
Pointelle is a knit with tiny openings worked into it, laid out here in fine vertical stripes. It is the reason the fabric looks like something rather than plain cotton, and the reason it breathes better than a solid rib in a warm room.
The base is 95% organic cotton for softness and 5% spandex for recovery, so the waistband and ankles keep their shape after the tenth wash rather than going slack.

Covered elastic waist
The elastic is enclosed in a soft casing, so nothing digs in and there is no red ring at the end of the day.
Room through the seat
Cut wide enough to sit over a bulky nappy without pulling at the waist or riding up at the back.
Tapered to the ankle
Narrower at the bottom so they stay on a baby who has just discovered rolling, and so they fit under a romper.
Size guide
Find the right fit.
Pants are cut to accommodate a nappy, so they look wide through the hip laid flat. That is intentional.

All measurements in centimetres, taken with the garment laid flat. Waist and leg opening are half-measurements — double them for the full way round. Because measuring methods differ, allow 1-2 cm either way. Babies vary — if your little one is between sizes, size up.

These are everyday clothes and they are going to be washed constantly. The organic cotton softens rather than pills, and the 5% spandex means the waistband pulls back to shape instead of sagging at the seat.
