The fabric
Pointelle, not just ribbed.
Pointelle is a knit with tiny openings worked into it, laid out here in fine vertical stripes. It is the reason the fabric looks like something rather than plain cotton, and the reason it breathes better than a solid rib in a warm room.
The base is 95% organic cotton for softness and 5% spandex for recovery, so the neckline and cuffs keep their shape after the tenth wash rather than going slack.

Side-tie kimono opening
The front wraps and fastens at the side, so baby can be dressed flat on their back. No head, no arms held up, no crying.
Fold-over mitten cuffs
Flip the cuff over small hands and sharp new fingernails stay away from small faces. Flip it back when they are ready to grab.
Poppers at the crotch
Three at the base and a run down the wrap, so a nappy change does not mean undressing the whole outfit.

The kimono vest is cut a touch roomier through the body than the sleeveless vest, because it is made to layer.

All measurements in centimetres, taken with the garment laid flat. Chest is a half-measurement — double it for the full way round. Because measuring methods differ, allow 1-2 cm either way. Babies vary — if your little one is between sizes, size up.

These are everyday clothes and they are going to be washed constantly. The organic cotton softens rather than pills, and the 5% spandex means the neckline and cuffs go back to shape instead of stretching out.
